Monday February 8th marked the first day of classes for JMI’s MA in Journalism and New Media. HRH Princess Rym launched the day and welcomed the 20 admitted students to the program, which aims which aims to help bring about the highest standards” in journalism in Jordan and the region. Dean Najah Abdallah then walked the students through the curriculum and program requirements and regulations. Members of JMI’s board attended the student orientation and reception.

Students then went into their first class; Media Law and Ethics with Dr. Sakher Khasawneh.

JMI communicated admissions decisions to applicants today to the MA in Journalism and New Media, which is offered in collaboration with the University of Jordan.

The MA in Journalism and New Media that kicks off on Monday is a one-year, full time programme that runs over three semesters and covers 33 credit hours.

Classes will start on Monday, February 8th, and preparations are underway to greet the first batch of students.

Renovation of the JMI building started back in October and proceeded at a very fast pace to make sure everything is set before the MA program with state-of-the-art facilities and an environment that fully supports the unique educational experience students will be offered.
