Monday February 8th marked the first day of classes for JMI’s MA in Journalism and New Media. HRH Princess Rym launched the day and welcomed the 20 admitted students to the program, which aims which aims to help bring about the highest standards” in journalism in Jordan and the region. Dean Najah Abdallah then walked the students through the curriculum and program requirements and regulations. Members of JMI’s board attended the student orientation and reception.
Students then went into their first class; Media Law and Ethics with Dr. Sakher Khasawneh.

Congratulations JMI and best of luck to all the students, faculty and staff!! The establishment and launch of JMI is a testament to Jordan’s commitment to education and professional development! Thanks to the dedication and tireless efforts of HRH Princess Rym and the highly qualified team that makes up JMI, we shall soon add to Jordan’s roster of media professionals a new generation of dedicated and well-rounded journalists. Again, best of luck to all!!
